Ayurvedic Massage
WHAT MAKES AN AYURVEDIC MASSAGE SO SPECIAL?
– Warm, herb-infused oils embrace our skin like a layer of protection, love and care.
– Through the special techniques of Ayurvedic massage, the medicinal properties of the oils are worked deep into the circulatory and nervous system.
– Through the manipulation of energy centres (Marma points), the flow of energy (Prana) through your body will be harmonised and balanced, so that your body can activate its own self-healing mechanisms.
– During a short initial consultation we will determine which oil or treatment is best suited for you.
– The Practitioner uses a focused and meditative approach during the treatment, so that the massage will be enhanced by positive energy.
– All massage treatments regulate cell-metabolism, stimulate circulation and deeply nourish the nervous system as well as induce a state of deep relaxation.
AYURVEDIC MASSAGES WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM APRIL 2022 @ BODY & FACE, AM SCHLAGEIS 6, IN MURNAU
TYPES OF MASSAGES
- AYURVEDIC MASSAGE (ABHYANGA)
In accordance with ayurvedic principles, the client is first assessed for his or her individual constitution and possible symptoms or disorders in a short consultation. Then the massage therapy is designed specifically for the client, with the goal to restore balance and relieve symptoms. To achieve this, specific, warmed and medicated, traditionally processed herbal oils (or aromatic, Dosha balancing oils) are applied using specific Ayurvedic techniques of massage.
Oil treatments & massages are usually aimed at rebalancing the doshas and strengthening the nervous system and circulation. The oils are applied very liberally and are of a very high quality. They are traditionally infused with a variety of medicinal herbs, so they can work through the skin, directly into the blood and nervous system without having to go through digestive processes. - MARMA THERAPY
Marma points are areas of concentrated energy, usually at junctions, where the different different types of tissue meet. They are said to be the gateway between body and mind and have - similar to the Acupressure points of TCM - a profound effect on overall health. Stimulating these points can powerfully harmonise the whole energy system, activate the innate cell-intelligence and self-healing mechanisms and restore balance in body and mind.
- MUKHA ABHYANGA
Aurvedic Face Massage.
Stress is often held in the face. Through specific treatment of Marma points we can manipulate and rejuvenate the energy flow, release tension and lift the face. This increases general well-being, balance and a sense of calm, serenity and beauty. - PADA ABHYANGA
Ayurvedic foot massage. Through Ayurvedic massage techniques and stimulation of Marma points, energy can be grounded, balanced and refreshed. Foot massage can relieve headaches and backaches and influence the nervous system.

This has a direct and powerful influence on the pineal and pituitary glands. The treatment induces a profound state of peace and tranquility while at the same time enhances concentration and alertness of the mind. It is recommended for disorders and imbalances of the mind, including stress, depression, anger, insomnia etc.
- NASYA
Nasya oil is a traditional medicated oil that is applied (after massage and steam treatment) into the nostrils. It opens respiratory pathways and clears sinuses.
